My particular areas of interest are working with children who have experienced trauma, children in the foster care system, and adoptees. I believe that a clinician must be trauma-informed to provide appropriate care for these children. I have worked alongside leaders in the field of trauma and attachment and have volunteered at camps for families and children struggling with trauma and attachment. I also have 8yrs experience working with children in a day treatment setting who exhibit a broad range of behaviors and diagnoses. That experience has led me to work with children with very extremely aggressive and disruptive behaviors.
Seeing a child become truly happy, centered, and connected is my greatest joy as a counselor.
